Welcome to Penang, Pearl of the Orient
How will you fall in love with Penang? Let us just show you a few ways... and you'll forever be a friend of this charming Malaysian state.
A place of great food, often replicated in various parts of the world but will just never taste the same like the original. Try our finger-licking Nasi Kandar, must-have Koay Teow and sinful Chendol ...but don't blame us if you keep coming for more.
Walk around our little alleys and roads and be amazed by what you can do and find. Take a selfie here and there (hey, Penang was after all voted as one of the best place for selfies) and impress your friends back home. Take the heritage trails and discover why Penang became a UNESCO Heritage Site.
But best of all, enjoy your time in Penang and be friends with the Penangites. They may be loud at times and speak more Hokkien than you can manage to understand but you'll be bowled over by their hospitality. Everyone is a friend and we will always welcome your visit(s), time and time again.
